María Gabriela Head Of Field Program
I was born and raised in Nicaragua, where I developed my career in the agricultural industry. I am an Agricultural and Food Industry Engineer from Zamorano and hold an MBA from INCAE. I have worked at the Swiss Cooperation leading Good Agricultural Practices programs and in the pharmaceutical industry managing the supply of raw materials for laboratories in Nicaragua.
Currently, I am part of the Sol Organica team, where I started as a project manager and later took on the head of field program, including managing certifications and developing the credit program for producers.
My favorite Sol Organica product is the dried pineapple. My favorite initiative has been the compost project, a proposal I have championed since joining the company in 2016, which promises to significantly improve fruit availability and yields in the plantations.
I am committed to sustainable development and strengthening the agricultural value chain by promoting practices that benefit both the community and our natural environment.
